Me on Mother Earth was
where it
all started. All these images were originally done in Pen and Ink
on Board and then applied to clothing by the Transfer method. The
pen and ink originals, which exist for each of these images were
envisioned in color originally. I took the original and created hand
stippled black ink overlays for each image on tracing paper. Some
images required up to 10 overlays to achieve the final result. All
this was planned out (and all done in black and white), and then I would
send them off to be printed in the colors I had chosen. This series
represents a huge chunk of my life. Probably the most time consuming
thing I have ever done. Alas, Me on Mother Earth is no longer, and I
am leaving the garment industry behind .. permanently. Time to move
on to the next new venture, Art Unseen. |
