The
images in this section are hand stippled on Artboard using a technical pen
and India ink. I believe I was sixteen years old when I did my first
pen and ink original, and after eighteen years I am still very fond of the
medium. Black and white taught me about light and shadow, and about focusing
on what you see, rather than what you think you see. Each one of
these designs represents a minimum of two weeks work, dotting dotting
dotting. Creating this collection has helped me tremendously
in my life, in the patience, persistence, and work ethic that it instilled
in me. And when I finally made that move into color, it was that
much easier to see.
